LESSONS AND PRICING
I currently offer two ways to learn:Beginner Sewing
This is a single-session class that lasts 2.5 hours. Fee is $60 and supplies are included. No previous experience needed.
You will learn the basics of threading and operating a sewing machine, what kind of tools you'll need, and will leave with a completed sewing project.
You can bring your own machine to learn with, or learn on mine.
Private Tutoring
$35/hour. Whatever you can imagine, we can do.
Ready to move on to the next steps after beginner sewing? Is there a project you need extra guidance on? Do you want to focus specifically on subjects like basic alterations or repairs? Private tutoring is for you. Contact me for more information like group rates.
CUSTOM SEWING + ALTERATIONS
I accept sewing commissions for anything from hemming a pair of pants or darning a beloved pair of socks to creating a full custom costume from scratch.
Custom work is billed hourly; plus cost of materials.Please contact me to learn more- estimates will always be provided prior to purchasing materials and starting work.

Hi! I'm Dani (they/them).I come from a long line of artists, teachers, and scrappy ne'er-do-wells.As a recovering thespian, I have over 12 years’ experience in creative fields including technical theater and youth arts programs. I'm deeply inspired by textile arts and the connections to resourcefulness, reuse, and "making do" contained within.I approach my work through an anti-capitalist, queer lens and value accessibility for all creative people. I firmly believe engaging with/in art is vital to the community-building and self-actualization of the working class.I'm originally from the Mojave desert, but now live in Pasadena. In my free time I read books, comics, and tarot cards. I'm also an avid tea-drinker who is passionate about the 80s and wearing socks with sandals.
